戰國時代，風起雲湧，是中國歷史上最浪漫的時代之一。而“尋秦記”故事， 也正正發生於這個多姿多彩，英雄輩出的時代。故事開始，是在廿一世紀的未 來世界，特種部隊精英項少龍，機智過人，身手不凡，被選中參與一項神秘計 劃。有關當局，多年以來一直進行秘密研究，終於製成全世界第一部時空穿梭 機。項少龍在千挑萬選之下，終成為首位穿梭時空的實驗者。

項少龍準備展開他的劃時代的旅程，回到二千多年前，亦即是戰國時代的中國， 秦王嬴政登基那年的咸陽城。豈料時空穿梭機突然發生故障，項少龍被送至秦 王嬴政登基前一年的趙國。項少龍孤身流落趙國，為了可以回到未來，決意不 顧一切，也要找到當時尚未繼位，仍在趙國被軟禁，過著質子生活的嬴政，助 其建立一番偉大功業。項少龍千辛萬苦，前往趙都邯鄲尋找嬴政，途中因相助 趙國“畜牧大王”烏氏家將陶方，擊退馬賊灰鬍，得到烏氏賞識，更獲其女烏 廷芳之青睞，但同時惹來正極力追求烏廷芳的劍客連晉妒忌。
